Know Your Customer (KYC) — Public Compliance Statement
Seacrets implements a comprehensive identity verification ("Know Your Customer" — KYC) program designed to protect the integrity of the platform, comply with applicable regulatory obligations, and satisfy the contractual requirements of financial institutions and payment networks.
Identity verification is a prerequisite and ongoing requirement for certain types of activity within the Seacrets ecosystem, particularly those related to monetization, receiving, or withdrawing funds.
Mandatory Identification Principle
No user may:
- monetize content,
- receive payments,
- withdraw funds,
- operate corporate or representative accounts,
without having successfully completed the applicable identity verification process.
Seacrets reserves the right to require additional verification at any time.
Elements of the Verification Process
The KYC process may include, individually or in combination:
- Submission of a valid official identity document.
- Biometric validation or liveness check.
- Confirmation of legal age.
- Verification of consistency between identity, jurisdiction, and declared activity.
- Screening against international sanctions, restriction, or politically exposed persons (PEP) lists.
The information provided must be accurate, complete, and up to date.
Risk-Based Approach
The level of verification applied may vary based on factors such as:
- User jurisdiction.
- Volume or nature of economic activity.
- Significant changes in transactional behavior.
- Risk indicators identified through internal monitoring processes.
Seacrets may apply Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) measures when the risk profile requires it.
Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD)
In higher risk-exposure scenarios, the platform may request additional information or documentation, including, among others:
- Confirmation of ultimate beneficial owner (UBO) for corporate accounts.
- Information on source of funds.
- Supplementary supporting documentation.
- Identity revalidations.
Refusal to provide reasonably requested information may result in the limitation or termination of the business relationship.
Ongoing Monitoring and Revalidation
Identity verification is not a one-time event.
Seacrets implements ongoing monitoring mechanisms that may result in:
- Periodic identity revalidation.
- Requests for document updates.
- Temporary suspension of functionality until additional reviews are completed.
These processes are part of the preventive compliance framework adopted by the platform.
Restrictions and Corrective Measures
Where inconsistencies, false information, or indications of identity fraud are detected, Seacrets may:
- Temporarily suspend the account.
- Withhold funds pending review.
- Permanently cancel the account.
- Cooperate with competent authorities when required by law.
Record Retention
Information collected under the KYC program will be handled in accordance with the Privacy Policy and retained for the periods required by applicable regulations and contractual obligations with financial institutions.
