Content Removal Statement
Content removal procedures.
Version 1.0 · Effective: October 15, 2025
Seacrets maintains a procedure through which any person appearing in content published on the platform may request its removal, and through which the decision on that request may be appealed. This policy applies whether or not the requesting person holds a Seacrets account, and whether or not they previously consented to publication. No account is required to submit a request or an appeal, and no fee is charged for either.
Scope and Rights
This policy is addressed to any person who appears in, or is identifiable in, content published on Seacrets. The following rights apply:
- Right to request removal. Any person depicted in content may request its removal at any time.
- Revocability of consent. Consent previously granted may be withdrawn at any time. Withdrawal of consent constitutes sufficient grounds for removal.
- Right to appeal. Any decision declining a removal request may be appealed.
- Right to independent review. Any disagreement with the outcome of an appeal may be referred to a neutral third party, at the expense of Seacrets.
- Protection against retaliation. No person is penalized, exposed, or restricted for exercising these rights in good faith.
Request Procedure
Removal requests by persons depicted in content may be submitted via:
- Email: [email protected]
- In-platform reporting tool: Available to registered users.
Requests should include:
- Direct URL of the content in which the requester appears.
- Confirmation that the requester is a person depicted in the content.
- Grounds for the request, including absence of consent, withdrawal of consent, or invalidity of consent under applicable law.
- Contact information of the requester.
Receipt is acknowledged within one business day and a case reference number is issued. This reference is required for any subsequent appeal.
Review Procedure
Upon receipt of a request, Seacrets applies the following procedure:
- Interim restriction. Access to the content is restricted during the investigation where circumstances warrant it.
- Identity verification. Only the minimum data necessary to confirm that the requester is the person depicted is collected, and it is used for no other purpose.
- Examination of records. Consent documentation and the records retained under 18 U.S.C. § 2257 for the content are reviewed.
- Creator response. The creator is required to produce evidence of valid, informed, and current consent.
All requests and complaints are reviewed and resolved within five business days of receipt. A reasoned decision is issued in writing and includes instructions on how to appeal.
Review Outcome
Where Seacrets determines that valid consent was not given, has been withdrawn, or is void under applicable law, the content is removed. Where the record is inconclusive, the doubt is resolved in favor of the person depicted and the content is removed.
A review may result in any of the following outcomes:
- Removal: The content is deleted from the platform and delisted from search and discovery surfaces.
- Restriction: The content is geo-blocked, blurred, or otherwise limited, where this is sufficient to eliminate the harm.
- No action: Valid and current consent is found to exist. The requester is notified in writing, with reasons and instructions on how to appeal.
- Action against the account: Warning, demonetization, suspension, or permanent termination of the creator account.
- Referral to authorities: Where the facts require it under applicable law.
Appeal Procedure
Any decision issued under this policy may be appealed by the person who submitted the request and, where content has been removed or restricted, by the creator.
- Deadline and form: Appeals are submitted to [email protected] within thirty calendar days of the decision, quoting the case reference number, stating the grounds for the appeal, and attaching any new evidence.
- Independent reviewer: Appeals are decided by a senior reviewer from Trust and Safety or Legal who was not involved in the original decision.
- Timeframe: Appeals are resolved within five business days of receipt, by reasoned written decision.
Independent Neutral Review
Where a person disagrees with the outcome of an appeal, that person may require the disagreement to be resolved by an independent and neutral third party. Seacrets bears the full cost of that review.
The neutral reviewer is an independent arbitrator or mediator with no commercial, employment, or personal relationship to Seacrets or Hyper Lab LLC, appointed under the rules of the American Arbitration Association. Seacrets complies with the determination issued.
This right is exercised by replying to the appeal decision within thirty calendar days requesting independent review. No filing fee, administrative cost, or reviewer fee is charged to the requesting person.
This right prevails over any conflicting provision. No provision of this policy, the Terms of Service, the Creator Agreement, the Fan-Creator Agreement, or any other Seacrets document limits, waives, conditions, or requires the waiver of this right to independent neutral review at the expense of Seacrets.
Confidentiality and Non-Retaliation
Requests and appeals are handled confidentially. The identity of the requester is not disclosed to the creator unless expressly authorized by the requester or required by law.
Personal data provided is processed in accordance with the Privacy Policy, used solely to resolve the case, and retained only for as long as required by law or by an ongoing investigation.
